Dr. Catey DeSimini
Professional Side
Dr. DeSimini was born and raised in Lake County, California, just north of Napa Valley. She earned her BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and went on to receive her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, she participated in multiple community outreach programs and traveled to Nicaragua on a service trip with the nonprofit Bridges to Community. After her first pediatric rotation, Dr. DeSimini discovered her passion for children’s dentistry and completed her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts.
In 2009, she earned the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for scoring in the top 3% nationally on the Pediatric Dental Board Qualifying Exam and is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She spent 12 years in private practice in the Boston area before relocating with her family to San Francisco in 2022, where she enjoyed practicing alongside colleagues with diverse backgrounds. After nearly four years, she returned to Boston as planned and is thrilled to join Broad Smiles. Dr. DeSimini is dedicated to creating positive dental experiences for her young patients and building strong connections with families. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Personal Side
Dr. DeSimini lives in Boston with her husband, Sabino, and their two children, Luca and Anna. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering at her children’s many sporting events and exploring all that Boston has to offer. In her free time, she also loves reading, experimenting with new recipes and traveling—especially to California and Italy, two of her favorite destinations.
